DnD

[edit]

Cleaning it up, expanding, or reducing, is hard. I'd like to help you. - Peregrine Fisher (talk) 04:41, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, unfortunately I'm not well versed in the DnD field, I just ran WP:AutoWikiBrowser on the articles in the Fantasy creatures category to do some general clean-up. Always good for weeding out sp errors and other stuff. Equilibrial (talk) 04:49, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Could you redirect a few hundred articles to Dungeons & Dragons? It's very hard to determine which of the 10,000 or so are the 1000 (if that) good ones. Ocassionally, people get bent out of shape in these situations, so contact me if anyone doesn't like it. I created a lot of the DnD stuff years ago, so I have some credibility when it comes to what should be expanded, and what should go away. - Peregrine Fisher (talk) 04:57, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, but this is a bit out of my league. I recommend you ask for a bot to be made for this purpose at WP:Bot requests. Equilibrial (talk) 05:00, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. To elaborate, this is a copyright violation of this. This is a copyright violation of this. This is also questionable with regards to this: You put it in quotation marks attributed to Schuster, but it's actually CNN's paraphrase of Schuster. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 01:47, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Is it a copyright violation to accurately quote a cited source? Seems like insanity, but if that's the law, I'm fine with it. ~~ Equilibrial (talk) 01:53, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's a copyright violation to copy it wholesale, yes, unless it's a stock phrase like "the largest warship sunk in battle since World War II". If you attribute something and set it in quotation marks, then it may be allowed as fair use under Wikipedia:Non-free content, bu when it comes to plain facts it's still best to rephrase, as much for reasons of article quality. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 02:08, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, understood. Thank you for the explanation. Equilibrial (talk) 02:09, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please can you stop the weird obsession you have with editing a clear error into a man's suicide note. It's incredibly disrespectful and also just simply ahistorical. "The famous line" is used as context for the subsequent sentence, it was never supposed to be a part of his suicide note. This is not up for discussion or debate, you are wrong. TJ Whiteley (talk) 19:46, 05 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've responded on your talk page. Equilibrial (talk) 08:49, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Abu Hasan (boat) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Highly suspect notability - one government post and a news write up hardly support WP:SUSTAINED

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
